May 2015 Gran Canaria

I haven’t got a lot to report.  I have just got back from a week in Gran Canaria which was lovely – sunny every day and warm.  We stayed in a time share to the west of the island, Cala Blanca at Playa del Taurito, that was very quiet with a beautiful, warm pool where I went swimming every morning while the croissants were cooking in the oven at the shop on site.  We hired a car and I drove along the deserted west coast and back up the windy roads through the mountains, went and saw the sand dunes and drove to the capital.  Otherwise we caught local buses.  It wasn’t busy.  It wasn’t expensive.

Now it’s back to work and a long summer ahead of fetes and festivals.  I have plans to re-varnish my 2 sheds and exterior woodwork and paint the kitchen.

Sean the horse is well, in fact keeping his weight extremely well for an old horse.  He is with four horses in the field, two of whom only go out at night, so he has company, albeit changing 24/7.

A* will be home in about 3 weeks for her visit which is very exciting.  I have J1’s car again as he is abroad with work.  J2 has nearly finished his course – I think he has two more observations left.

I finally got my tooth implant finished!  I went to ‘marriage encouragement’ classes which I wrote about in my blog. https://hazeldurbridge.com/3-weeks-of-marriage-encouragement/
