make your life better by sending 5 emails

I like this link because it shows you how to make your life better by sending 5 emails at various intervals.

I do send emails to friends, but I don’t always say thanks for things. I might say, that’s a good idea although I will express how much I value their friendship.

I do my work summing up once a month.

I could count my life mentors to date on one hand. I don’t do this although if I admire someone and I think it is feasible I do seek them out as a friend.  I might try this out as an exercise.

I never send emails to people I hardly know on the basis that they might help my career, but I do it a lot for my community groups. I have had some success in writing to famous /wealthy people I have admired in newspaper articles and asking for their support with some community issue – I approached Vivien Clore Duffield for example after I read about her in the Independent  for funding for the community business Rags & Roses when I worked at The Children’s Society.  She sent someone out to view the project.  In the end I got £17k from the Tudor Trust.
