Boris to work in partnership

Back in July 2016 I wrote this

I was fired up.  Then, within days Theresa May had invited Boris into her cabinet.  I was so impressed.  So impressed that she had the confidence and perspicacity to do that.

I may not always agree with her politics, but I am still impressed with Theresa the woman.  I find myself cheering her on in her adversity.  I find her principled, dignified and brave.

I still like Boris though. Leaders don’t have to be perfect.  They just have to know how to lead.

In the Daily Mail 17/01/2019 Stephen Glover wrote

‘ I imagine him uniting our divided nation and healing our wounds….he could even combine again with his erstwhile assassin, Michael Gove. Boris’s vision and Govey’s brain.

I know he is monumentally ambitious, but which great statesman was not?  Churchill certainly was.  Boris may be poor on detail but he has a sense of destiny for himself and his country.  Even after his diet, he is a big man in a land of pygmies.’

Theresa, show them you see a bigger world and put them in a room together with you.  I guess the onus is then on him to see a bigger world and work in partnership.

All things are possible.
