I am SO Boomer Woman
I am SO Boomer woman! Right age range, own property, working, trying to get my head round Twitter but apparently this is already out of date, am obsessed about holidays, the more off the beat and track the better, divorced but thinks men are important – just perhaps not as rich as some.
I don’t use a kindle. Books still do it for me though I generally buy them in bulk at charity shops.
What does this mean in my life? I am free to have a nice time. My children are grown up and yes one has returned to the nest post university, but it’s not going to be for ever and I love him and want to help him.
On Friday I got free tickets for Mike and the Mechanics at the Albert Hall through the Peabody draw. The American philanthropist Peabody obviously bought a box when he was in London (late 19th century) and now the 400+ employees get to go in a draw for free tickets. You pay £2 for each entry. Last year I won tickets for a South American guitar player. Mike and the Mechanics include ex Genesis players so there was some rock and roll as well as new numbers. The hall was full of 40,50 and 60+ year olds up out their seats waving and flapping their arms about and jigging in a most uncool fashion, but as well as being funny it was also infectiously joyous – really nice AND what a privilege to get £120 of tickets for £2.
