burgled November 2013
Hi James! How are you?
Great drama last week because we got burgled. The last time we were burgled was about 20 years ago when we were pretty sure it was an ex foster child. This time they came in between 12 mid-day and 4pm and ransacked the place – every drawer, wardrobe, shoe box and took every bit of jewellery of any value I possessed – no electrics, lap tops, TVs etc. Hopefully, they won’t come back for those. On top of that this week I lost my rail card complete with carnet tickets. Sit and weep. It is money I can ill afford to lose.
However after a day or so mourning for my ‘gold’ – it is only stuff after all – I am getting over it. I am LOVING my new job so London was the right choice for me even though we are now into bringing Sean the horse in time so I have an hour of mucking out after my commute.
To add to my joy over my interesting job I am seriously dating. After kissing more than my fair share of frogs from match.com and most lately Christianmingle (most of whom are the antithesis of Christians) I have met someone I really like, and although it is early days, who seems to like me. He is emotionally literate (not into football or cricket – oh joy), very funny and I fancy him, oh and he comes to church with me which has got everybody gossiping. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
J2 has had some great news in that his school are prepared to sponsor him if he gets on a teaching direct course, A* has bought her ticket and has a placement for Australia, J1 is undergoing tests for his next exciting role in the marines and Bear’s girlfriend has so almost moved in I noticed she is getting post delivered here this week!
Let’s meet again before Christmas. Tuesdays and Thursdays are probably best. Love Hazel xx
