An alternative home for the parrot
I am very conscious that I am behind myself with my weekly letter to you. I usually post on a Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Some of this is that I usually get on my computer very late at night and by the time I have done my emails I am absolutely exhausted – just zero creative energy – not that I am claiming my letters to be particularly creative!
Some good things to report. FH has found an alternative home for parrot and budgie. I’ve got an interview for mega South Cambs. job next week. I’ve got my car back. The decorators rang to say they were a week behind schedule with my flood damage reparation work (from 4 years ago!) but then you can’t have it all. J1 has gone off skiing. J2 is out and about with friends and relatives and A* is doing lots of horse riding so I am getting out of mucking out this week.
One of my ex foster children has asked me to be her birth partner for her third child. She married a Moroccan who sires fantastic looking children, but is hopeless when it comes to practical support so it is due about 7th March. I’ve emailed to get my Big Apple Greeter – New York is now barely 3 weeks away and I haven’t even read the guide book yet.
I’ve been interviewing all day for a new community development officer and I think my boss is going to insist we go with my second choice. However, this is our second time of interviewing and last time we were totally at odds so a decision will be made. My review of community centres and halls relating to urban areas has now been extended to a strategy for all centres and halls across North Herts (including about 30 village halls) so that will be interesting.
Any news from the hospital/consultants? I am aware we agreed to meet up some time in January/ February. I am still willing if I haven’t totally alienated you with my meanderings! Take care.
