An easier week on the canal boat
It felt a little bit easier this week-end. I was thinking about it this morning lying in bed and I guess reviewing my first year of marriage which was fraught while I went through a process of adjustments as no doubt did my former husband. A canal boat is a small space to share when you have no history. It was another thing we were both naïve about. Mates in the pub once a month is one thing.
The driving was even easier again this week which was a blessing. We are now going round the outskirts of Milton Keynes and it is amazingly beautiful with landscaped vistas on either side and some gorgeous properties near the water.
I spent the first evening in the boat on my own as Quirk went out to see friends which was fine. It does become a bit of a man cave during the week and I need a couple of hours to reclaim some space to sleep in and coexist for a couple of days.
The water had run out again so no shower on Saturday until we reached the water point. This is obviously going to need to be filled every week. The sinks aren’t draining and there is no hot water in either the kitchen or bathroom sinks.
Noah finished decimating lead 1. I bought him a life jacket on the way home.
